Announcement regarding service schedule

We have been monitoring the pandemic situation as we said we would as the leadership of the church.  Recent request by the CDC, and the President of the United States has caused us to reconsider our activities here at Springview.  After consultation with the deacons and staff, we have decided the best action for the safety and well being of our church and community is as follows.  Effective immediately we will be canceling all Sunday School activities. This is a result of the request not to have group gatherings larger than 10 people.  Sunday school areas are confined spaces with 10 or more people. All Children’s programs will be halted on Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings.  Brent will be arranging to do a virtual program with the youth on Sunday evenings. All activities on Wednesday will be cancelled at this time.  Sunday Worship times will remain the same.  Pastor Ben will continue to be at church at these worship times and we will have our service broadcast on Facebook live on Springview Baptist Church’s Facebook page.  We are currently working to make that happen by Sunday.  All members are ask to use their own discretion on whether to attend in person or on Facebook.  You are welcome to attend in person but please understand it is not going to be expected.  We are in this crisis together and we will continue the work of the church, perhaps differently than any of us expected, but the work will go on.  The church office will remain open on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 8-12.  Pastor Ben can be reached anytime at 865-310-4818 should a need arise.  For those that will be attending in person please note some things will be arranged differently such as shaking hands and personal space.  Our Worship in song will look different as we will sing congregational and have special music only.  Worship in tithes and offerings will be conducted at the end of the service with offering plates at the exits.  For those watching online, please remember our online giving option through  We are uncertain of how long this schedule will be required and we will continue to monitor the situation closely.  I would ask that you fervently pray to the God of heaven and earth to meet our need in this time. 2 Chronicles 7:14  “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.”  May God bless you.
